What are the page properties in TYPO3?
The page properties are the part of a TYPO3 page where meta information is stored.
In this meta data you can find important fields like page title, alias (name of the page that is used in the URL), and summary (HTML meta tag description).
Many of the fields that can be edited in the page properties will not be visible on the site. They appear only in the head section of the HTML source code, where they can be read by search engine robots.
Prior to TYPO3 version 4.x, the page properties were named Page Title. Due to the ambiguity with the actual page title - the text between the <title> tags - its name has been changed.
