The page tree is a part of the TYPO3 backend that represents the hierarchical structure of a TYPO3 web site.

It contains all pages of the current TYPO3 system and can be collapsed and expanded (like folders in the Windows Explorer). The tree contains pages of type Standard or Extended that contain content elements or SysFolder pages, where data records are stored.
